DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   \nMEDIA CONTACT:   \nTed Mason (312) 590-3443\nTheodore.Mason@cookcountyil.gov \nCommissioner Kevin Morrison to host Busse Lake Fishing Derby  \nCommissioner’s outdoors day will feature a variety of community partners and fishing derby on June 18  \nSCHAUMBURG\, Ill. – June 15\, 2022 – Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison (District 15) will host his annual Outdoors Day and fishing derby on Saturday\, June 18. Commissioner Morrison’s 2022 Outdoors Day will mark the fourth consecutive year his office has hosted an event around Father’s Day weekend to promote the outdoor spaces in the Northwest suburbs.  \n“We are fortunate to have many opportunities to explore the outdoors in the Northwest suburbs. Our community is filled with incredible outdoor spaces that bring us together\,” Commissioner Kevin Morrison said. “I encourage everyone to join me at Busse Lake for a fishing derby and to learn about all the outdoor activities the Northwest suburbs have to offer.”  \nThe Busse Lake Fishing Derby will take place at Grove #25 at Busse Lake within Busse Woods from 9 a.m. to noon. Fishing derby participants must register in advance here. The event is free. Anglers do not need a fishing license during Father’s Day weekend. People with all experience levels are welcome to participate\, and guests must bring their own fishing gear. Limited bait will be available. Prizes will be given for a variety of categories.   \nCommissioner Morrison will be in attendance along with community partners including the Arlington Anglers\, Brookfield Zoo\, Shedd Aquarium\, the Forest Preserves District of Cook County\, Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove\, and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.  \n  \n###
