DESCRIPTION:Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will be holding two property assessment appeal seminars at the Elk Grove Township Office for taxpayers seeking to appeal\ntheir 2019 property assessments. \nThe seminar is co-sponsored by Elk Grove Township Assessor Connie Carosielli and Cook County Board Commissioner Kevin Morrison. The hour-long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful appeal\, provide information on property tax exemptions. \nThe seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining the procedure at the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening\, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns. \nThis event is free to the public\, and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are encouraged to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill if they have questions. \nTaxpayers may file online by visiting the Board of Review website: www.cookcountyboardofreview.com. Alternatively\, appeal forms also may be picked up at the Board of Review located at 118 N. Clark Street\, Room 601\, Chicago\, IL\, local township offices\, or print form available on the Board website.
