Frigid temperatures are expected over the next several days. Please bundle up if you are going outside as frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10-15 minutes. Don’t leave pets outside in the cold. Please check on elderly or disabled neighbors. If needed, you may utilize one of the warming centers listed below.
Cook County’s suburban courthouses will be open to serve as 24 hour warming centers.
The Courthouses in Markham, Bridgeview, Maywood, Skokie and Rolling Meadows will be available Wednesday and Thursday as warming centers. Stay safe and warm out there! More safety tips can be found on the Cook County website.
