Saturday, August 24th from 12 PM to 2 PM: Environmental Resource Fair
Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison (District 15) will host a free in-person Environmental Resource Fair on Saturday, Aug. 24th, from noon to 2 p.m. to help Cook County residents learn how to protect the environment. The fair will be held at Rahlfs Woods (1350 S Park Ave, Streamwood, IL 60107) and feature a wide variety of family-friendly events and activities.
Each co-sponsor will have a table set up with information and activities. The fair is co-sponsored by Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Eira Corral Sepúlveda, Poplar Creek Library District, Streamwood Park District, Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability, Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency, Ride Illinois, the Citizens Utility Board, the Chicago Botanic Garden, Pace, Schaumburg Monarch Initiative, and the Village of Streamwood.
