SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – June 7, 2024 – Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison will host his sixth annual Outdoors Day and fishing derby on Saturday, June 15. Commissioner Morrison’s 2024 Outdoors Day will mark the sixth year his office has hosted an event around Father’s Day weekend to promote the outdoor spaces in the Northwest suburbs.
“Our community is filled with incredible green spaces that bring us together! The 15th District is fortunate to have Busse Woods among the many amazing outdoor spaces that are part of the Forest Preserves of Cook County and available to residents of the Northwest Suburbs,” Commissioner Kevin Morrison said. “I encourage everyone to join me and our wonderful partners at Busse Lake for our fishing derby!”
The Busse Lake Fishing Derby will take place at Grove #25 at Busse Lake within the Busse Woods Forest Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon.
