Water Crisis near Des Plaines

Hundreds of people at a mobile home park near Des Plaines, an unincorporated part of Cook County, said they haven’t had water for a week. The area is dealing with a water crisis, due in part, to last week’s polar vortex. The area gets water from a well, which froze during the recent cold snap.

Illinois considers Tobacco 21

On the heels of Cook County raising age to purchase tobacco to 21, Springfield legislators are looking to also pass a similar law statewide.
